‘The View’ Ana Navarro Goes Scorched Earth On President Trump
Last month, Joy Behar extended an invitation for President Trump to appear on The View. But after Ana Navarro’s scorched-earth rant about his latest comments, that invitation likely won’t be accepted. Keep reading to find out what he said and why it set Ana Navarro off.
President Trump Doubles Down On Comments About Murdered Director Rob Reiner
The entertainment industry is in shock and mourning. Famed Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found murdered in their home on Sunday, December 14. The couple’s son, Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested later that afternoon on suspicion of murder.

Rob Reiner directed some of the most iconic movies, including The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally. Before his directing career, he played “Meathead” on All in the Family. But not everyone mourned the loss.
President Trump posted on Truth Social that Rob Reiner’s death was caused “due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”
Reporters later asked him if he wanted to walk back the comments. Instead, President Trump doubled down on his previous comments. “Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned,” he told reporters. “I thought he was very bad for our country,” Trump added.

The President’s comments about Rob Reiner’s tragic death were met with backlash from both sides of the aisle.
Ana Navarro Goes Scorched Earth On The View
The View addressed Rob Reiner and his wife’s murder at the top of Monday’s episode. Whoopi Goldberg worked with the director and blasted President Trump for his heartless comments. Ana Navarro, who has tangled with the current administration often, went scorched earth.
“For Trump to have put that out today, I’m gonna say it: Da**it, there’s an American family grieving,” she began.
Ana Navarro’s rant continued, “This is a tragedy, not just for the family, but for all who knew and loved him. For the president to make this about him as a way to attack Rob Reiner because he exercised his American right to speak up with what he disagreed with is shameful. It’s disgraceful.
She added, “Of all the disgusting things Donald Trump has done, this is right up there.”
Several notable Republicans condemned the President’s remarks about Rob Reiner. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on Twitter, “This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies.” Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) said, “This statement is wrong. Regardless of one’s political views, no one should be subjected to violence, let alone at the hands of their own son.”
Rob Reiner’s murder came on the heels of a shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and a shooting in Bondi Beach, Australia. The motive for the murder of the director and his wife has yet to be revealed. Tell us if you think President Trump’s comments were out of line.
