‘General Hospital’ Stars Go On ‘Strike’
Working on a soap opera can be extraordinarily stressful. The cast spends hours in the Los Angeles, California, studio rehearsing lines and filming. Some of the cast from the ABC soap opera General Hospital went on ‘strike’ together, but not the way you would think. Keep reading for all the details.
General Hospital Stars Go On ‘Strike’
When Kelly Thiebaud left General Hospital in 2023, she asked the soap to kill her character, Britt Westbourne, so she wouldn’t be able to return. But life has a funny way of working out. The actress returned to the show in early 2025 with a mystery surrounding how she managed to escape death.
While viewers love or hate Britt, the actress is pretty popular backstage. She invited some of her co-stars to go on “strike” with her over the weekend. The soap stars descended on a Pinz bowling alley for a night of untamed fun and games.
Rory Gibson (Michael), Katelyn MacMullen (Willow), Giovanni Mazza (Gio), Braedyn Bruner (Emma), Van Hansis (Lucas), Adrian Anchondo (Marco) and Tanisha Harper (Jordan) joined their General Hospital co-star at the bowling alley for the outing.
They danced. They played arcade games and most of all, they bowled.
Their Co-Stars Have ‘Big FOMO’
But not everyone could attend the fun outing. Several of their General Hospital co-stars expressed regret on Kelly Thiebaud’s Instagram video for missing the event. Tabyana Ali (Trina) wrote, “I HATE THAT I MISSED THIS!! OH MY GOSH BIG FOMO RN.”
Rena Sofer, who recently left the role of Lois added, “If I still lived in la I woulda been there!!!!” Lots of soap fans chimed in on the action.

Fans Beg Show To Revamp Character
The fun video showed several of the General Hospital stars in a new light, and very different from the characters they play. One fan of the soap begged the writers to make one character more like the actress who plays her.

One fan wrote, “Katelynn has such spark and so much personality. I wish the writers would incorporate some of that into Willow.”
A second General Hospital fan added, “I would hang out with Katelynn any day. She looks FUN. Could be a tribute to her acting that Willow is such a dud when Katelynn is not.”
Willow recently married Drew (Cameron Mathison) so she could get custody of her children back. Viewers probably shouldn’t expect the character to let loose and have fun anytime soon amid such a troubled storyline.
