Illinois Restaurant Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Injured

A terrifying incident recently unfolded at a restaurant in Aurora, Illinois. A shooting claimed the lives of two people, with another person left critically injured. Recently, a band performing at the establishment has also released a statement over the incident.

Three People Were Found With Gunshot Wounds, With Two Taken To An Area Hospital

According to local police, they responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting at a restaurant in Illinois on November 22. Arriving at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora at around 9:10 PM local time, they discovered three people had been shot.

With multiple victims at the scene, authorities attempted to perform life-saving measures. Aurora Fire Paramedics also transported two of the victims to local hospitals.

A press release from the Aurora Police Department described the three victims. One adult male, who is believed to be the shooter, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims were described as a man and a woman. Both were taken to an area hospital.

The female victim was later pronounced dead. The other hospitalized victim was described as being in “critical condition.”

Chief Matt Thomas later shared in a statement, “Our hearts are heavy tonight. Members of our community were senselessly shot while simply trying to enjoy a night out, and our entire city feels the weight of that violence. On behalf of the Aurora Police Department, I want the victims and their families to know we are standing with you and doing everything we can to make sure you have answers.”

At this time, police believe the situation was related to domestic violence and that there is no “ongoing threat to the community.” It is also believed that the three people who were shot knew each other.

According to the release, police are still investigating what happened. They also encourage the public and anyone with information to help and contact the Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division.

A Band Performing At The Roundhouse Around The Time Of The Incident Also Released A Statement On Social Media

Around the time of the incident, the Beyond the Blonde was performing at the restaurant. The day following the incident, on November 23, they issued a statement on Facebook.

The band shared, “Last night was terrifying, sad, and absolutely shocking. The shooting at Two Brothers has left us shaken to our core. Our hearts are with the families and friends of those lost to such senseless violence. No one should ever have to experience that kind of fear or heartbreak.”

As the statement concluded, “We’re still processing so many emotions — disbelief, sadness, gratitude for safety, and deep compassion for everyone affected. Hold your loved ones close today.”
