President Trump Goes On Another Rant ‘Get The Bum Off The Air’
Days after President Trump told a reporter, “Quiet, piggy,” he took aim at another media personality. He ranted to “get the bum off the air.” Keep reading to find out who he was talking about.
Current Administration Has Tense Relationship With Media
Long before he was President of the United States, Donald Trump was a reality star. The businessman hosted The Apprentice on NBC for 14 seasons before going into politics. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger hosted the show’s 15th season after Donald Trump announced he was running for President. He couldn’t continue to host the show due to campaign regulations.

Throughout the show and his business career, Donald Trump had close ties to the media. However, that connection seemingly soured once he became President. The media began reporting him in a mainly negative light. As a result, the President and his current administration have a tense relationship with the media, particularly with networks President Trump brands as “fake news.”
President Trump Rants ‘Get The Bum Off The Air’
President Trump’s first and current terms arguably get more media coverage than any other President. That coverage includes talk shows like The View. The ABC talk show faced cancellation rumors over the summer amid a feud with Trump over the way the co-hosts, especially Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, spoke about the President.
President Trump and his policies are an easy target for late-night talk show hosts. CBS announced earlier this year that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was ending in 2026. Comedian Stephen Colbert took over the show in 2015 after David Letterman’s retirement. Many Republicans, including President Trump, celebrated the show’s cancellation.

The President of the U.S. recently took aim at another late-night host, Seth Meyers. Trump called him the “least talented” person on television. After Trump’s latest post on Truth Social, he’s slammed every late-night host on ABC, CBS, and NBC.
ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show for several days in September for his comments on podcaster Charlie Kirk’s death. The outspoken Republican political activist was gunned down while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 13. Tyler Robinson, 22, was later arrested for the alleged murder. He remains in jail awaiting trial.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! took another unexpected break earlier this month amid a devastating loss. Upon his return to the show, Jimmy Kimmel renewed his criticism of President Trump. The President took to his Truth Social platform to share a scathing rant against Jimmy Kimmel.
“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage,” he wrote.

“Get the bum off the air,” President Trump demanded.
The diatribe against the ABC talk show hosts came days after President Trump suggested ABC should have its broadcasting license revoked after a confrontation with a reporter aboard Air Force One.
Jimmy Kimmel has yet to respond to President Trump calling him a bum, but he will likely have a blistering comeback. Tell us in the comments if you agree that ABC should yank Jimmy Kimmel off the air.
