They had to take a break from filming the next season of The Voice so she could grieve. Reba McEntire also had to go through it all as Brandon was her stepson. However, she always called him her son and thought of him no differently than her blood relatives. She loved him dearly.

Reba McEntire relived her son’s tragic death on The Voice. This was something no one expected her to talk about. Aubrey Nicole sang Martina McBride’s song “I’m Gonna Love You Through It”. This is about a couple going through a cancer diagnosis. However, this hit Reba, and she spoke about her son’s death.

“Martina’s a good friend of mine. I lost my oldest son because he did not win with cancer. That was a real reminder that life goes on, and we sing songs about it so we can remember the ones around us that we love so much, that we lean on at times like this. You did a great job.”

Fans are sending their love to Reba, as this was something hard for her to talk about. However, the song reminded her of Brandon, and she thought Aubrey did a great job with the song.

It seems as though the song reminded Reba of Brandon. However, he did not win his battle with cancer, and this was hard on Reba. Brandon was technically her stepson. However, she never thought of him as that, and he was always her son, no matter what. Fans felt bad for Reba as she had to go through those emotions again on television.
