Celebration, located in Florida, was originally developed by Disney. It was a residential community near the infamous Orlando theme parks, but it was sold over two decades ago. One family used the location as their vacation home, but things turned sour when the husband killed his wife and their children. Anthony Todt did not stop there, as he also murdered the family dog, Breezy. The patriarch was set to be arrested for healthcare fraud as he was a physical therapist in Connecticut. Yet, there was so much more to be seen than anyone had expected on this fateful January 2020 day.
Authorities arrived at the home, where Anthony appeared disheveled. However, he acted as if his wife, Megan, was right upstairs. When asked where his children were, Anthony seemed confused. He and Megan shared three kids: Aleksander, 13, Tyler, 11, and Zoe, 4, but he claimed that they may have been at a sleepover. Anthony was unsure if the three were even in the home, so the authorities called out for Megan. After getting no response, they searched the home, per Agent Melissa O’Neal:
“We went upstairs to check for Megan and the children because we had called for her too and obviously there was no answer.”
That was when the bodies were found in the master bedroom of the Celebration, Florida, home.
The boys had been deceased for some time, as was Megan. It was noted that their skin was as “black as leather,” but one child was still MIA. The youngest, Zoe, was nowhere to be found, but she had not survived, either. Due to her being so small, she was not spotted until a second search. Again, the family dog was also a casualty of Anthony’s, and now, it was time to determine how he killed his kids.
A Scary Revelation
Anthony Todt had left his deceased family in the Celebration, Florida, home for weeks. Now, the big question was how he did it and why? He allegedly gave his sons Benadryl and then stabbed them once they had passed away. There was also speculation of strangulation, and his reasoning for the murders was to save them from “the apocalypse.” It soon took a turn as Anthony then claimed his wife was the one who drugged the kids, as well as herself.
Yet, due to his financial problems, it appears that Anthony was solely responsible. He was charged with four counts of first-degree murder as well as animal cruelty. Followers were sickened by this story:
