‘General Hospital’ Not Available On Streaming App, Fans Livid
General Hospital fans hoping to watch the daytime drama on streaming are sorely disappointed. The popular soap opera has seemingly been removed from streaming platforms. Fans of the soap are livid over being unable to watch their stories. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
General Hospital Wins Big At Daytime Emmys
Soap stars from NBC, CBS, and ABC gathered at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, on October 17, 2025, for the 2025 Daytime Emmys. Mario Lopez hosted the star-studded event.
General Hospital, which usually falls third in the ratings, took home several big awards. Actress Nancy Lee Grahn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Alexis Davis. She’s played the role of the legal eagle since 1996. It was her 11th nomination. She previously won Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2012.
Jonathan Jackson won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his brief return as Lucky Spencer last summer. It was his sixth Daytime Emmy for the role.
General Hospital also took home the Emmy for Outstanding Daytime Drama Writing. You can watch part of Nancy Lee Grahn’s acceptance speech down below.
GH Removed From Streaming, Fans Livid
The 2025 Daytime Emmy ceremony did not air on TV this year. It usually airs on CBS but was only available on streaming. Fans weren’t happy about the slight,and now General Hospital fans are livid that they can’t find new episodes of the soap online.
General Hospital moved to an earlier timeslot for many viewers back in 2012. Fans eventually got used to the change. As streaming platforms became popular, episodes of the soap were available to stream on Hulu a day after airing on traditional television.
ABC and Hulu are both owned by Disney. Soaps that air on CBS stream on Paramount+. Days of Our Lives made the permanent move from NBC to Peacock in 2022.

But General Hospital fans hoping to watch the new episode of the soap opera on Hulu made the shocking discovery that the episodes were gone. One viewer no longer has access to new GH episodes after bundling Hulu and Disney+.
” I can access all my shows I used to watch on Hulu from my Disney+ account except for GH,” they vented on social media. Several others commented that they have the same issue. Another fan complained that the soap is one of the only shows that isn’t available to download from Hulu and watch later.
Variety reported in August that Hulu is being phased out as a standalone app. It will integrate into Disney+ by the end of 2026. That could explain why General Hospital episodes aren’t on Disney+ yet but are still available on Hulu, at least for now.

We pay money together the shows we want to watch, then they take them away. And you wonder why people are finding other ways to get free tv. Bring it general hospital back!!!
I watch like 2 shows on Hulu, and GH is one of them. If I can’t get it through Disney+ either, there’s no sense in having either Hulu OR Disney plus.
GH still isnt showing up on Disney under the Hulu tab. Thankfully I can still watch on the Hulu app but since that is going away next month I hope Disney gets this fixed asap.
