Frontrunner Teases Mel Owens About Hidden Tattoo
Mel Owens had a tough decision to make on The Golden Bachelor this week. He had to send several women home and choose his final three. The three remaining contestants head to Hometown Dates next week. But one contestant made it an easy decision for Mel by sending herself home.
Carol Freeman-Branstine left the competition after failing to get a one-on-one date and not feeling a connection. But Mel still had to eliminate two women. He sent Nicolle Kate Briscoe and Cheryl Steele home.
Peg Munson, Debbie Siebers, and Cindy Angelcyk Cullers are his final three women going into Hometowns week. All three could possibly get Fantasy Suite dates if Mel doesn’t send anyone home after Hometowns.
During her one-on-one date with Mel, Peg teased him about an intimate moment waiting for him in the Fantasy Suite dates. After she revealed that she got matching tattoos with her daughter, he asked if she had any others.
The retired firefighter from Las Vegas, Nevada, played coy. She said that she got another tattoo after divorcing her husband due to his infidelity. “We’ll talk about that when we’re in the Fantasy Suites,” she teased the blushing Golden Bachelor.

Parade magazine interviewed some of the contestants earlier this season and asked their thoughts on the Fantasy Suite dates. Exactly what happens during the overnight dates is a secret. It’s the one time during the show that the contestants have time alone with the lead without cameras. Some of the former contestants have admitted to having s*x in the Fantasy Suite dates.
Former Bachelor star Grant Ellis said that he was cautious heading into Fantasy Suites on Season 29 because it can heighten feelings that might not really be there.
Peg Munson said that she wanted to go into Fantasy Suites “to get in there and talk.” But she didn’t rule out sleeping with Mel like some of the other contestants. She said, “I will not confirm nor will I deny!”
Nicolle Kate Briscoe said, “Absolutely not.” She added, “I don’t see that happening. If we decide to be monogamous, I only become physically intimate if I’m in a monogamous relationship and this is clearly anything but.”
Well, her Fantasy Suite date isn’t happening at all now that she’s been eliminated.
Another finalist, Debbie Siebers, was just looking forward to private time alone with Mel Owens. I would love that intimate time and he’s just—what I feel about him is that I’ve known him forever and we just have a great physical attraction. We have an emotional connection and really a mental connection.
Cindy Angelcyk Cullers wasn’t asked for her thoughts on the Fantasy Suite dates.
