Hoda Kotb Back To ‘Today’ Show In Special Role
Hoda Kotb is one of the most loved news personalities anywhere. Fans were devastated when she announced that she was leaving the Today show to pursue other things and slow down her life somewhat. However, the popular news personality recently confirmed that she is coming back in a special role. So, what can fans expect?
Hoda Kotb Was A Staple On Today
For many years, Today viewers could not think of turning on their televisions without seeing Hoda Kotb as part of their morning. Hoda was a staple on the show for many years, and many viewers tuned in exclusively for her. Viewers were especially fond of the segment that she did with Jenna Bush Hager, as many people said for a long time that their on-air chemistry was unmatched.
As Today show fans have seen, since Hoda left her post on the show, things have not been the same without her. The show has had to carry on in her absence, but, even now, her presence is still missed. However, based on recent updates, it does not look like fans have seen the last of her. So, what can viewers expect?
Hoda Coming Back To Today, What Can Fans Expect?
Without question, Hoda Kotb has enjoyed being able to slow her life down since leaving her post at Today. She has been able to spend more time with her daughters, as well as set her alarm a little bit later than she normally would. Hoda has even talked about going on evening walks with her neighbors, as well as having more free time to pursue her passion projects.
Kotb will also be a special correspondent for the Today show and NBC over the course of the next two Olympics, the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Hoda compared her role to Snoop Dogg’s role as part of the 2024 Paris Games.
Special Today Reunion Coming?
In addition to this, Hoda Kotb has also said that her working again with Jenna Bush Hager is not completely off the table, either. Speaking to US Weekly about the prospect of reuniting with her former co-host and working together again, Hoda said, “I’m a never-say-never person. I also can imagine working with Jenna again one day.”
The door certainly seems to be open to some kind of collaboration in the future between the women, as Hoda went on to add, “I’ve thought about that because she and I say that, secretly, we’re like, ‘One day. I’ll see you in a couple years. I’ll see you in a couple years.’ I feel like there’s something there.”
