Kelly Clarkson Explains How She Embarrasses Her Kids
Every parent on the planet Earth has embarrassed their kids at some point or another. Kelly Clarkson recently joined the parental embarrassment club as she kicked off her Las Vegas residency, hosted at The Colosseum at Caesars. Kelly addressed the crowd during her show to explain that she was likely embarrassing her children, who were in attendance. Keep reading to find out what happened.
Kelly Clarkson Embraces Wardrobe Malfunction With Humor
Kelly Clarkson is the mother to two wonderful children: daughter River, 11, and son Remington “Remy,” 9. Earlier this month the music icon kicked of her residency in Las Vegas. During a live performance Clarkson began to experience a mishap with her wardrobe. I was during this moment that Kelly admitted she was liekley embarrassing the heck out of River and Remington.
In a viral TikTok video, Kelly Clarkson is seen addressing the crowd during her wardrobe malfunction. She started her concert in an adorable t-shirt and jeans combo. With a little bit of humor, Kelly explained that she was wearing nipple covers underneath her t-shirt because she had an upcoming outfit change that required them. However, the nipple covers were malfunctioning due to excessive sweat from the heat. Clarkson said:
“You might all the sudden see boobs here, I am so hot. Is this the change? Is this the night that it starts happening? Oh my god, it’s going to happen and then I’m going to do this for you,” she said while she shimied her chest.
Kelly Clarkson Embarrasses Her Children Live On Stage
Kelly Clarkson took her wardrobe malfunction in good stride, joking with fans as she attempted to contain the situation. Like all good parents, she did realize that her crazy on-stage antics, while entertaining to the crowd, may not be sitting as well with her children. Kelly shared with fans that her two children were in attendance for her Las Vegas performance. She told the audience:
“Y’all, I do have to say that I love that I’m probably embarrassing my kids. They’re like, ‘Stop talking.’ I hope y’all have fun. I am completely going to embarrass you with things that I say — you’re welcome, it builds character.”

Hopefully, River and Remington weren’t too embarrassed by their famous mother’s wardrobe malfunction. Kelly Clarkson took a positive stance towards her behavior. She acknowledged she was likely embarrassing the kids and took a moment to reinforce that they would be alright. Fans were supportive of Kelly’s honesty as they took to the comments, saying:
