It has been a rough few years for Tori Spelling as she and Dean McDermott officially ended their marriage. Along with that, she dealt with money and health problems, and a lot of parental scrutiny. Not everyone cares for the way that she parents her five children, but Tori does not seem to care. She has launched her own podcast, misSPELLING, and appeared on DWTS. Furthermore, she has a new man in her life and appears to be very happy with where she is.
Now, she is taking the time to honor a dear friend on the first anniversary of their death. Shannen Doherty was Tori’s best friend during their time on Beverly Hills, 90210. They were incredibly close, but sadly, Shannen succumbed to cancer on July 13th, 2025. It followed their co-star, Luke Perry’s passing in March 2019, so this was a bitter pill to swallow. Many of Shannen’s co-stars came out to honor and remember her, and now, on the first anniversary, Tori has shared a series of snaps featuring her and Shannen. She addressed the grief that she was feeling and how it came up randomly.

Tori Spelling added that she is taking everything Shannen Doherty ever taught her and is applying it to her daily life. She admitted that she has imperfections but she will continue to carry on Shannen’s light and legacy as long as she can. Many followers chimed in as they struggled to imagine a life without Shannen. They also could not believe she was gone and had been for a year now. However, Tori was not alone in remembering Shannen.

Aside from her time on Beverly Hills, 90210 with Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty had a long career. She worked with the best of the best, and they have since come out to honor her on the one-year anniversary. Her Charmed co-star, Holly Marie Combs, honored Shannen on social media, creating the hashtag #ShandoSunday. Sarah Michelle Gellar also took the time to share a broken heart emoji along with photos of her and Shannen. It is clear to see that she may be gone, but she is in so many people’s hearts, now and forever.
