Kelly Clarkson Finally Gives Fans Answers About Her Talk Show
Kelly Clarkson had multiple unexplained absences from her daytime talk show in March. Some of her celebrity friends stepped in to host the show. But the absences sparked a flurry of speculation that the singer was leaving daytime behind to focus on her music career.
She finally addressed the speculation that The Kelly Clarkson Show is done. Keep reading to find out what she said.
Kelly Clarkson’s Behavior Sparks Concern
Kelly Clarkson has been a beloved public figure since she won the first season of American Idol in 2002. She’s enjoyed massive success, releasing ten studio albums and racking up multiple number-one hits.
After hosing several primetime specials, the singer was asked to host her own daytime talk show. The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in 2019. Another American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson, joined the daytime lineup with a talk show in 2022. Kelly Clarkson’s show consistently beats The Jennifer Hudson Show in ratings.
During the twenty-plus years since she won American Idol, Kelly Clarkson has had very little negative press. However, that changed recently. Months after her mysterious absence from her daytime talk show, she canceled on her fans again without warning.
Kelly Clarkson announced earlier this year that she was returning to music with a Las Vegas residency. The concerts were supposed to start on July 4th and run through August before resuming in November. However, the first show was postponed due to vocal issues just hours before showtime.

Fans usually give the singer grace, but they were having none of her recent behavior. Between missing her talk show and abruptly canceling on fans, Kelly Clarkson is facing backlash for the first time in her career. A source close to the singer expressed concern that a mental breakdown was to blame.
She Finally Gives Fans Answers About Her Talk Show
Kelly Clarkson’s bizarre behavior in recent months sparked speculation that her daytime show would either be canceled or she would be replaced as host. But it turns out that neither are true, at least for now.
The singer took to Instagram to share an update about the talk show. The official Kelly Clarkson Show social media accounts posted a clip of some of the best moments from Season 6, which just wrapped up last month.
A message from the host answered any questions about whether the show would return or not. “Get ready for more fun in Season 7 coming this fall!”
NBC already renewed The Kelly Clarkson Show for Season 7. And as the post said, the new season will start this fall. But what about after that? Her contract with the network is over after the next season. So, while the show is safe for now, it remains to be seen if Kelly Clarkson will sign on for more seasons or if the show will end after Season 7. But at least fans know the show isn’t ending any time soon.
Let us know in the comments if you think next season will be the last.
