Deadliest Catch: Fans Think A Major Captain Will Retire Soon

Many fans have been wondering about what Season 21 will offer following the multiple health issues that several captains have faced over the years. One of them was Captain Keith, who’s had numerous cardiac issues while sailing the seas. It’s safe to say that he may not appear in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Captain Bill is taking proper steps to recover from his prostate cancer, though he’s still operating boats based on his recent FB posts.

But while Bill and Keith deal with issues, some Deadliest Catch fans on a social media thread think Sig Hansen, who’s part of Season 21, will retire soon. One of the main reasons was his age. At 61, some fans think he won’t be able to navigate his boat as efficiently as he did years ago.

What To Expect In Season 21?

Discovery Channel recently released new details regarding the 21st season of Deadliest Catch. According to the network, the season will follow the Dutch Harbor fleet embarking on a “gold rush-style” race. They’re trying to reach Adak Island, which hasn’t been touched for over 30 years. They believe it could lead to massive crab hauls, but the unknown dangers of the island could offer big challenges for the crew. The description also states that the “extreme conditions and major ship malfunctions” include a life-threatening event. It was also said that “chaos” on the Titan Explorer resulted in Jake’s crew abandoning the ship, which could be related to extreme weather conditions or disastrous malfunctions.
