‘Young & Restless’ Dumas Revealed, Adam & Billy Livid

Over the past few months, fans of The Young and the Restless have been trying to guess the identity of the mysterious Aristotle Dumas. As they’ve shared theories and pieced clues together, a big truth concerning the character has recently come to light. Fans have also seen how the other characters are reacting to the big reveal.
The Young & The Restless Fans Have Been Guessing Aristotle Dumas’ Identity For Months
A mysterious figure known as “Aristotle Dumas” recently appeared to be manipulating things from the shadows in Genoa City. Many of the prominent families on The Young and the Restless, including the Newman, Abbott, and Winters clans, have been wondering about the figure.
With a name bringing to mind Alexandre Dumas and his famous work, The Count of Monte Cristo, fans tried to guess who the mysterious figure could be. Gradually, a few details were shared over who the character could be, including a supposed past with Victor Newman.
Fans shared all sorts of theories on who Dumas could be, such as the character really being a woman. With his connection to Victor, many fans guessed Dumas would be a character from the soap’s past storylines.
Recently, it has been confirmed that fans can finally put a face to Dumas. He will be played by actor Billy Flynn.
As previously reported, Flynn left another soap, Days of Our Lives, where he had been playing Chad DiMera, back in March. It was announced he would be joining the cast of The Young and the Restless, though his character’s identity was kept a secret.
Flynn previously confirmed he would be playing Dumas in a conversation with Us Weekly. At the time, he compared the role to another famous piece of literature. As Flynn shared, his character was like “the person behind the Great Gatsby.”
Other Characters Will React To The Big Reveal
However, Dumas is still an alter-ego and it’s believed that Flynn will also be another character returning to the soap: Cane Ashby. It’s possible that Flynn’s comparing Dumas to a famous fictitious bootlegger was in reference to Cane’s introduction on the soap as an Australian bartender, searching for his family.
Cane also is a character known for having multiple identities. He also once claimed to be Phillip Chancellor III, Chance’s father. Another storyline had Cane take on the identity of his deceased twin brother Caleb, with his own death being faked. In other words, Cane is hardly a novice when it comes to alter-egos.

As fans remember, Cane was originally played by actor Daniel Goddard. With a recast, fans might be wondering what happened to Cane’s Australian accent.
The characters are set to learn Dumas’ identity during a party in France. Flynn could be heard saying, “It’s time. For me to make myself known.”
Preview clips have also already teased some of the other character’s reactions to the revelations. After all, Dumas’ plans are set to unfold. Billy Abbott, who had been manipulated by Dumas all this time, could be heard sharing, “What the hell is going on here?” Adam, who has been on his own mission to uncover Dumas’ identity, will also soon get his answers.
