Bachelor Star Shares Toll Of Social Media On Relationship
One of the downsides of fame is dealing with social media trolls. Even Joey Graziadei, one of the most popular Bachelor Nation stars, gets his share of hate online. But according to him, his fiance, Kelsey Anderson, has it even worse. And not surprisingly, the majority of negative comments about her come from other women.
The Season 28 Bachelor star was a recent guest on former NFL player Isaac Rochell’s Don’t Worry I’ll Ask podcast. Joey Graziadei addressed how negative online comments affect his fiance more than they do him.
“I think some of the biggest stressors in our relationship is handling when that stuff happens and me trying to be understanding of why it’s bad and why it hurts but also not be the person that’s not trying to be real,” he said about finding a balance between being supportive and moving on from the social media hate.
He admitted that it’s difficult for Kelsey Anderson to quickly move on, but shared his personal strategy. “That is my best way to try to handle all of this when there’s negativity is remind myself that the majority of the time we have so many more people who are in our corner that are rooting for us,” Joey Graziadei said.

Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson’s relationship may seem perfect from the outside looking in. Viewers watched their love story unfold on Season 28 of The Bachelor. He proposed during the season finale. The couple recently shared an update on wedding planning.
While the couple put on a united front on social media, Joey Graziadei has spoken out multiple times about struggles in the relationship. He didn’t hold back during the latest podcast appearance, either. He revealed that things with Kelsey aren’t always “sunshine and rainbows.”
In fact, the early stages of the relationship were tough and almost caused a split. As Bachelor Nation viewers know, the couple was secretly engaged for months before the proposal aired in March 2024. Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson were together but had to keep it on the down-low. That put stress on their relationship.
He explained, “She went straight back to work [and] was working full-time, and I’m sitting at home, like, passing the time, having to go around and do press in New York and L.A.” Then they both moved to Los Angeles while he competed on Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars.
It was the first time they lived alone together. He previously lived with her and her roommates in New Orleans. Joey Graziadei said on the podcast that he got to know Kelsey Anderson on a deeper level on the ABC dating show. But he didn’t know what day-to-day life was like with her.
Despite the learning curve, he looked back on those days with fondness. “We were just new kids in love, just having fun and trying to figure out how we were going to start this life together,” he said.
