Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates Balka is back with a worrying update online. She recently went on a quick break after going through some pregnancy sickness. Fortunately, she has fully recovered and has been sharing regular updates about her family. But many fans were surprised when Josie shared that they were invaded by a bear. Bringing Up Bates: Josie Bates Gives Health Update
Earlier this month, Josie took to IG to share a clip of herself getting ready for the day. She then explained that she’s been going through “sickness,” and putting on makeup helps her feel a little better. The Bringing Up Bates star didn’t share more details about her illness, but many fans believe it has something to do with her pregnancy. Josie worried a lot of fans after going radio silent since announcing her pregnancy last month. Fortunately, her pregnancy is going well.
Josie & Family Invaded By Bear
Josie Bates Balka recently took to IG Stories to share clips of a bear that invaded their property. The Bringing Up Bates star shared CCTV footage of a bear scavenging on their trash can in their yard. Josie was so scared and even asked her husband, Kelton, if they should call for help, but he was unsure if there were any open facilities that could help them.
Josie has yet to share what steps they took after sharing the bear invasion, but it seems they’re going extra careful as the bear knows how to access their yard.

Josie also shared a clip in the morning showing the chaos that the bear caused in their yard. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, the bear scattered all the trash. She also confirmed that it was a black bear, adding that the bear even sat on their chairs. Kelton and Josie were also puzzled about why a bear would exist around their property, as they live in a city. The married couple also said that the bear destroyed their bird feeder, and they’re wondering how they would get rid of the bear. Josie went on to say that they were two minutes from everything in Knoxville, and the bear somehow managed to sneak into their yard and destroy everything. This also made Josie terrified for her kids, as they bear may jump out of the woods again when her kids are playing in their yard.
Aside from the bear invasion, Josie Bates Balka also revealed that they’re going on another trip. She uploaded a screenshot of her alarms so they wouldn’t miss their flight. She didn’t exactly share where they are going, but it seems they’re leaving their home without solving their bear problems.
