Michael Strahan usually gets along with his co-hosts on Good Morning America. However, a recent segment showed Strahan issuing a warning after one of his co-hosts got a little too close for comfort. That said, before the segment was done, Strahan and his co-host ended up teaming up against another co-worker.

Michael Strahan Recently Appeared In A Behind-The-Scenes Segment With His Good Morning America Co-Stars

Strahan is a former professional football player, who for serving as a defensive end for the New York Giants. Over the years, he’s segued into becoming a media personality.

In 2016, Strahan became a full-time co-host on Good Morning America. Currently, he co-anchors alongside other figures like George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts.

Recently, Roberts had made a return to Good Morning America after being away from the show. She appeared with Strahan in a behind-the-scenes video which revolved around “unread texts.”

During the segment, which was shared on social media, Strahan noted he only had around 24 unread messages. However, he assured he would “knock [them] out this morning.” However, he soon confessed the number was actually “57,” as he couldn’t figure out how to get rid of 33 other message notifications.

In the clip, Strahan shared, “Something’s wrong with my phone. Maybe I need a new phone.”

It was then Roberts appeared in the shot, moving closer to get a peek at his phone screen. However, Strahan soon pulled it away from her. He then issued a brief warning, “Don’t you dare look at my phone here. You trying to answer my question.”

Roberts moved away, glancing at him, but it appeared they were just joking. The two were then asked which of their Good Morning America co-workers has the most unread messages.

Strahan & Robin Roberts Agreed On Who Had The Most Unread Messages

Strahan believed it was their co-star, Sam Champion. Roberts added, “Oh, I agree! I agree!” She then proceeded to leave through a door. Strahan mused, “See, if Robin says it…”

A caption for the post also poked fun at this. As it read, “If we learned anything from this question, it’s that we need to have a serious chat with [Sam Champion] about his texts.”

In a bit of hypocritical humor, Strahan then joked, “Robin, let me look at your phone.” For his part, George Stephanopoulos denied having any unread messages. He also suggested Lara Spencer could have the most unread, which she later denied. In fact, she also suggested Champion.

Champion himself appeared towards the end of the video. He shared, “It’s not fair. Can I just say, it’s not fair to be hijacked like this.” While he confessed to 684 messages, he noted, “But that’s not fair. I just want to say, don’t judge me harshly for that.”

Taking to the comments, some fans came to Sam’s defense. Having a sense of humor about the situation, a few joked they were in the same boat. A few comments included:

  • “We listen and we don’t judge, Sam!”
  • “Yo Sam is on point every morning like 5am morning. Give Sam a break.”
  • “Me.. over 700,000. Deleting takes forever… and I don’t want to delete anything I really should read.”
