The first ever Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner made history as the first elder lead in the franchise. He met and fell in love with Theresa Nist during his season. In the season finale, he broke Leslie Fhima’s heart when he blindsided her by letting her know he had stronger feelings for Theresa.
At the final rose ceremony, Gerry popped the question. Theresa happily accepted and they began to plan their wedding. At the After the Final Rose special, they stunned the world when they announced they were not wasting any time and would be married in January. This was just a bit more than a month after the finale aired on ABC.
Their wedding was gorgeous and Bachelor Nation showed up to support the happy couple. There was even a surprise engagement when Brayden Bowers popped the question to Christina Mandrell. These two are now happily married.
Following Theresa and Gerry’s wedding, it seemed things were going well. However, it was only a few months later when they announced they were divorcing. Golden Bachelor fans were shocked and saddened by the news. They wasted no time getting married and no time getting divorced.
Now, Gerry is moving on and announced he’s dating again. This news comes after he shared with the world that he has cancer. Who is he dating?

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner revealed on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he dating again. After admitting he is dating someone he said,
“I think at this point it’s going well. But I don’t want to say too much and jinx it and I’m trying to respectfully get to a point where there’s an acceptable amount of time from my divorce. Maybe that’s an old-fashioned thought — maybe it doesn’t matter as much as I think it does, but to be respectful, I kind of want to slow roll this.”
Gerry wouldn’t give her name but did share that she also has daughters so they were both able to relate to each other’s children. They have all spent time together briefly and he feels it went well.
He also shared that she has traveled a lot. Plus, when she starts to ask him if he wants to go do something he just says yes before she ever finishes her thought.

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner shared that he did tell his ex-wife Theresa Nist that he is dating again. He said it was a great conversation with her.
As for his new girlfriend, Gerry said he was attracted to her almost immediately. He admitted he was going to get called out for that but it was true. He continues to feel this way every time he sees her.
When asked if he felt that way about any of the ladies from his season, he said the closest feeling was when Faith Martin sang to him. It was the first night when he gave her his first impression rose.
