Ghost Adventures Zak Bagans Reveals Details Surrounding Poltergeist House

Ghost Adventures is kicking off its brand-new season on Wednesday night, April 16. Zak Bagans spoke with People prior to the premiere. The crew will be investigating the actual house where the 1982 horror classic Poltergeist was filmed.

Zak, Aaron, Billy and Jay will work with the new owners of the home to uncover if the rumored curse is real. The investigation is not what Bagans expected at all. He said, “It was mind-blowing. To be in the house that was in the movie, but also to know that there is actual paranormal events occurring there, it just blindsided me.”

Poltergeist instantly became a hit and a total of three movies were made. Sadly, several of the cast and crew associated with the film died either during or shortly after production. One of the most famous and tragic was the death of Heather O’rourke. She died at the age of 12 shortly before the third installment of the film was released.

There were also others who died at young ages either from horrible diseases or tragic circumstances. One was murdered by an ax.

Zak has been fascinated with the rumored curse that surrounds this home for the longest time. His fascination increased when he opened The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to going on one of their famous lockdowns, the Ghost Adventures crew collected items from cast and crew members that they believed were trigger objects for the curse.

Their findings on this investigation were so incredible they turned their findings into a two-hour special.

Bagans said, “We worked with some members of the tribes, and as soon as they gave us information about how real this curse could be, that’s when things got really serious.”

He went on to share that the television which is iconic in the movie and used as the focal point. They used this television as well for their own investigation. Zak said,

“There was a lot of truth to the television acting as a piece of ITC, which is Instrumental Transcommunication, where spirits use electronic devices to communicate to us by using the electromagnetic spectrum. We literally adhered our ITC equipment to it, our spirit boxes. You’ll see my reaction to the communication we started receiving from a spirit all of a sudden. We’re living in the movie, but everything’s real.”

Fans of the show have seen the Ghost Adventures crew use paranormal equipment before with astonishing finds. It looks like this will be just as incredible.
