‘Shark Tank’ Barbara Corcoran Worried She Won’t Survive Without Mark Cuban

Barbara Corcoran of Shark Tank is about to say goodbye to one of her fellow “Sharks,” with Mark Cuban leaving after Season 16. Recently, she shared what it was like working with Cuban. In particular, she revealed something he helped her with on the show. During the conversation, she also touched on what it was like getting onto the show.
Barbara Corcoran Has Been Part Of Shark Tank Since The Start
Prior to her career on Shark Tank, Corcoran was known as a businesswoman and investor. Notably, she is the founder of The Corcoran Group.
For many, however, Corcoran is known for appearing on Shark Tank, in which she and other investors hear pitches from various entrepreneurs. Notably, Corcoran has been part of the show since its beginning.
That said, Corcoran recently discussed another “Shark” who joined the series later, who she felt still made a great impact. This was Mark Cuban, who appeared as a “guest Shark “during the second season and joined the main panel during the third season. However, he recently announced his final season on the show would be the sixteenth.
Corcoran recently spoke about Cuban during an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show. As Hudson noted, “Now, you’ve been sitting next to Mark Cuban for seasons. I know this is his last season What will you miss?”
Corcoran noted, “Mark’s such a sweetheart. And I just feel better sitting next to a billionaire. You know, I just feel richer.” She also noted what Cuban does for her. As she shared, “But what Mark does for me is he does my math. I still don’t have a way with numbers.”
“So, he tells me I’ll say ‘What does that represent, what percentage.’ He does the math for me and hands me papers all through the show. But I can’t imagine how I’m going to survive on that show without him because who’s going to do my math? You know, I just have to get a new guy or something.”
Corcoran Also Touched On Who Her Favorite Shark Was
However, Hudson felt that Corcoran would be okay. As she shared, “We think you got it just fine. That’s for sure.”
Hudson also made it a point to ask Corcoran who her favorite Shark was. She revealed it was Daymond John, who had also been part of the show from the start. As she shared, “Well, you know what’s great about Daymond [is] what you see is what you get. He has no falsehood about him whatsoever.”

Interestingly, Corcoran also revealed getting on the show herself wasn’t such a done deal. As she revealed, “I was actually hired, I was fired, and I was rehired really before the first day on the set.” She revealed that she was told there was interest in hiring another woman on the show in her place.
Corcoran then shared she sent an email to Mark Burnett saying she’d consider being “second place” as her “lucky charm.” She then noted she was then encouraged to “compete” for her place on the show. As she admitted, “I knocked that [other] woman right out of the seat.”
