‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Say Producer Did Player ‘So Wrong’
When it comes to a game show like Wheel Of Fortune, players can win and lose puzzles based on technicalities. Based on recent scenes from the game show, and based on what a lot of viewers are saying, producers recently did one player dirty. So, what happened in recent scenes, and what are commenters saying about it?
There Is No Margin For Error On Games Like Wheel Of Fortune
As longtime Wheel Of Fortune fans know, whenever players step up to the game show set, there is huge potential to win cash and other prizes. Whether it’s a big chunk of cash, a new car, an exotic trip, or, sometimes, a combination of all of the above, the sky is the limit when it comes to what some players can potentially walk away with once they leave the game show and go back home.
Because there is a lot at stake on Wheel Of Fortune, those behind the show can be incredibly picky about the answers that they will accept from players. Game show fans also see this on other popular game shows like Jeopardy! However, game to game, both viewers and contestants never know if things will remain consistent.
Game Show Contestant Loses Out On A Technicality
During one of the puzzles in recent Wheel Of Fortune scenes, players tried to solve one of the puzzles as the letters slowly filled in. As more letters come into play, the puzzle becomes clearer, and, as a result, easier to solve, at least in theory.
One recent Wheel Of Fortune player felt that she had the puzzle in the bag when she chimed in with “Economist.” However, she pronounced it awkwardly. Even though she technically got it correct, because of the way that she said the word, and the way she put the emphasis in the wrong place, she was not given credit for solving the puzzle. Then, only a few seconds later, one of her competitors chimed in with the correct way to say the word, and he got credit for the solve.
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Think Producers Did Player Dirty
With this recent Wheel Of Fortune player not getting credit for solving the puzzle on account of the way that she said it, many commenters had a lot to say about this situation, with many agreeing that producers wronged this player on the show.
- One commenter recently said: “I’ll take your economist and raise you an Achilles.”
- A second person chimed in, adding: “She said the word but pronounced it differently right?”
- One commenter replied to the above comment, saying: “That’s one way to put it.”
- Another person said: “It’s one thing to pronounce it in a way that it sounds like a completely different word but there’s nobody that would hear her say that and not know what she was saying.”
- It turns out, one player agreed with the ruling, adding: “when I heard her pronounce it , it sounded like economy.. not economist.. so I agree with the ruling. Not that I matter LOL.”
