‘Today’ Jenna Bush Hager’s Husband Caught In Huge Marital Lie
Following Hoda Kotb’s exit from Today‘s fourth hour, Jenna Bush Hager recently teamed up with members of her family to host the series. Things ended with her sharing the screen with her husband Henry Hager. However, things took an interesting turn for the couple during a lie-detector test.
Today With Jenna & Friends Recently Gave Jenna Bush Hager A Family Reunion
Starting towards the start of 2025, Today‘s fourth hour has become Today with Jenna & Friends, hosted by Jenna Bush Hager. Following the departure of Hoda Kotb, Jenna has teamed up with various guests, including many Hollywood stars.
Recently, however, Jenna spent a week sharing co-hosting duties with members of her family. This included her twin sister Barbara, cousins Wendy Stapleton and Sam Bush LeBlond, and, finishing the week, husband Henry Hager.
Notably, Jenna and Henry have been married since 2008. The couple notably shares three children together.
During the March 28 episode, the couple decided to put things to the test by trying out a lie detector. Jenna shared, “We thought it would be a perfect opportunity to put each other on the spot in a segment we probably will regret later.”
As noted by Today, John Grogan, also known as “Lie Detector Guy” was on set to help Jenna and Henry. As the publication noted, he has performed similar tests on celebrities since the 1980s. He helped to interpret the results from Jenna and Henry’s answers.
Jenna started things off by asking Henry is she even gave him “the ick.” Henry answered in the affirmative, which Grogan verified as true.
Giving an example, Henry shared, “Sometimes in the morning, you know, you might want to brush your teeth.” Jenna responded, “That is so rude!”
Henry then asked Jenna is she had been nervous about whether he would be a good guest host. She answered yes, which was also verified as true.
The Couple Mostly Told The Truth, According To The Test, At Least Until It Was Near The End
Jenna noted, “That’s just because I love you and want to protect you, sweetie. As opposed to saying that my breath smells bad in the morning.”
Jenna then thought back about a time when she opened up about holding onto keepsakes from former boyfriends on Today. She asked Henry if he similarly keeps things from ex-girlfriends.

Henry gave a verified “yes.” As he continued, “I’m a Boy Scout. I tell the truth.” Listing some examples, he shared, “Pictures, maybe. Letters. Something somewhere. I don’t know where they are.”
Henry then asked Jenna is she ever ghosted his text messages. She replied with a verified “yes.” While Henry thought this was rude. Jenna explained, “I didn’t ghost. I just want some boundaries around how fast I have to reply.”
The couple was then asked if they loved each other even more following the test. Henry answer yes twice, both of which were determined to be lies. Jenna also answered yes, which was verified as true. Jenna joked, “Anybody else want to use this machine? Seems to do wonders for relationships.”
However, things ultimately ended on a happy note. When asked if they would stay married, both said “yes,” which were both verified as true.
