After Hoda Kotb left The Today Show, Jenna Bush Hager has been on her own. Instead of hiring a new permanent co-host, Today has added a rotating group of special guest hosts. The show plans to see which guest fits best before choosing a permanent host. However, many fans have already decided which guest host should fill that spot.

The Today Show Fans Know Who They Want As Jenna Buch Hager’s New Co-Host

While Jenna Bush Hager has had several special co-hosts on the show since Hoda Kotb left, not everyone fit in well. However, after a recent episode, many fans said they know who needs to remain the permanent co-host. The fans said they like Heather McMahan.

Heather and Jenna worked together for the last week, and that was enough for fans to know she was the perfect partner for the Fourth Hour. Fans online loved the pairing and want to see Jenna and Heather as a permanent pairing (via Facebook):

Jenna Bush Hager Has Worked With Several Guest Hosts On The Today Show

Of course, not everyone will agree. Just two weeks ago, many fans picked a different name to take the co-host spot. At that time, it was Justin Sylvester. Fans of that episode thought the chemistry was off the charts. They said that the high-energy partnership was what the show needed moving forward.

Jenna has welcomed co-hosts such as Taraji P. Henson, Keke Palmer, Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Ciara, Ego Nwodim, and Wynonna Judd. Each of them brings different things to the show. However, there is no way that Henson, Palmer, or Johansson would take the job, given that their acting careers are so strong.

However, as far as Jenna is concerned, finding her new co-hosts is less about who people like the best or who she likes the best. Jenna wants to choose the person she can have the most fun with. She said it is not about finding “the one.” Instead, she said, “It’s more like, ‘Let’s have fun. And while we’re having fun, something is going to click” (via The Today Show).

“Every day somebody says to me, ‘I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.’ I don’t think they realize how much I need that, because I’m doing something for the first time — but I don’t feel alone.”
