Kim Kardashian To Testify In 2016 Paris Gunpoint Robbery Trial

News has come out that media personality and mogul Kim Kardashian will testify in an upcoming trial. Notably, the case revolves around a robbery where Kardashian was targeted during 2016’s Paris Fashion Week. Kim will have a chance to speak out nearly a decade after the reported incident.

Kim Kardashian Will Go To France For The Trial

Paris Fashion Week is a semi-annual event which hosts of variety of seasonal fashion shows. First taking place in 1973, events are held throughout the City of Lights.

Kardashian had attended Paris Fashion Week back in early October 2016. During this time, the mogul had been robbed at gunpoint while at a private hotel-residence.

According to TMZ, Kardashian will testify in an upcoming trial concerning the case. Sources have shared that she will go to France for the trial, which is set for this upcoming May. The publication noted that 12 people will stand trial.

At the time, five masked men were said to have held Kardashian hostage. Kim had been with her sisters earlier in the day. However, it’s believed she later went to her hotel room alone.

At the time, Kim’s bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was believed to be accompanying her sisters. On an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim noted, “I was Snapchatting that I was home and that everyone was going out.”

Kim believed that the robbers used social media to track her. At the time, she continued, “So I think they knew Pascal was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself.”

As noted by People, the robbers proceeded to steal millions in jewelry for the mogul during the middle of the night. One item taken included a $4 million ring that had been given to Kardashian by rapper Kanye West, who was her husband at the time.

Kim Previously Talked About The Incident On Keeping Up With The Kardashians

An investigation led by French officials led to the arrest of 17 suspects towards the start of 2017. The first four men were indicted by early January. One man said to have been arrested was “Gary M.,” the younger brother of Kim’s Parisian chauffeur.

Kim had previously recounted the incident during Season 13 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. At the time, she noted, “”They dragged me out onto the hallway on top of the stairs.”

“That’s when I saw the gun clear, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs.”

“I was like; ‘I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision.’ Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back?”

“It makes me so upset to think about it. Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I’m f—–. There’s no way out.”
