This is a big part of the reason why Ryan Seacrest received such a cold reception from the fanbase when it was first announced that he was taking over the hosting duties from iconic host, Pat Sajak.
However, one of the big reasons why Wheel Of Fortune fans are so attached to their favorite game show is because it is a tradition to watch the program in many households. Many people watch it with their families while eating dinner, and it is an integral part of family bonding time. So, whenever there are interruptions to the schedule, viewers have plenty to say about it.
Game Show Not Airing For Several Days In March
Because so many Wheel Of Fortune fans are so attached to the routine of watching their favorite game show, there is often an uproar whenever there are interruptions to the regularly scheduled programming. It turns out, the program will not air for four days in the month of March.
This is due to networks like CBS airing March Madness coverage instead. Due to this, there will be no airings of Wheel Of Fortune on Thursday and Friday this week and the following week. Those dates are March 20, March 21, March 27, and March 28.
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Not Happy With Schedule Change
Even though big events such as March Madness regularly take priority, many Wheel Of Fortune fans are upset that they won’t get to see their favorite show on these days, and many had a lot to say about it.
- One recent commenter said: “Due to March Madness, CBS stations will not be able to air WOF at its normal time for four days this month starting today. A small number of stations aired today’s episode early (such as WRDW in Augusta, Georgia) and will do so again at least tomorrow. Let’s Make a Deal doesn’t air on Thursday and Friday of the first week, so some stations move up syndicated shows to that time slot.”

- A third person added: “Ugh. I hate when this happens. I get that other events etc take priority, but when watching the show is a routine, it always makes it worse when that routine is interrupted, especially when it’s interrupted for something you have no interest in.”
