Erin Napier Reveals Fear Of Ben Dying Before Her
Erin Napier and husband, Ben Napier, spoke out recently in an interview about some medical issues they have faced. The HGTV couple spoke about Ben’s recent weight loss regarding his health, and Erin also revealed her greatest fear. She is worried that Ben will die before her.

Erin Napier Worried Husband Will Die Before Her
HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier renovate homes in Mississippi, and their work is shown on Home Town and Home Town Takeover. The couple talked about their lives on The Tamron Hall Show and began talking about Ben’s weight loss.
When Erin complimented her husband for losing 100 pounds, he corrected her and said he actually lost 95 pounds. Tamron Hall asked about the weight loss, and Ben said he felt he had to do it. He said his doctor wanted to put him on blood pressure medicine. After shoulder surgery, Ben said he lost a lot of weight, including muscle mass.
This led to Tamron asking Erin about her actions regarding the situation. She said she would do anything as long as he was “alive as long as I’m alive.” This led Erin to talk about her great fears.
“I just want him to be alive as long as I’m alive,” Erin said (via Closer Weekly). “And I want him to be there for my girls when they’re adults, and so he’s really super self-motivated so this was not a me thing. This was a him thing.”
Ben And Erin Napier Want To Be There For Their Kids
Erin Napier also said that this isn’t just about her. She wants him to be there for their kids when they grow up. She wants them to be able to spend that time together, and that requires him to remain healthy and stay in good shape now that he has lost so much weight.
The reality TV couple has two daughters, Helen, 7, and Mae, 3. They even had the girls with them on their press tour. The couple is currently promoting Home Town Takeover Season 3. They mentioned that Mae is about to turn 4, and they no longer have a baby in the house.
“They’re here,” Erin said to Tamron. “They went to the Central Park Zoo this morning.”
As a result, Erin said she and Ben are working hard to live as long as they can for their kids. “We’re all trying to be healthier and trying to live better and trying to live longer,” she said. “I needed to take some weight off. And then we did an interview … and my shirt wouldn’t stay buttoned and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a bad look. That is a bad thing.’ I was already working [on my weight] and then that jumpstarted it.”
Ben then said he was too young when he learned he might need blood pressure medication. “I was like, ‘I’m too young.’ At the time I wasn’t even 40,” he said. “So I said, ‘Let me see if we can drop it by losing weight.'”
