Where Is Dylan Dreyer On ‘Today’? Will She Be Back?
Viewers tuning into Today‘s third hour recently saw someone missing during a recent holiday episode. It was correspondent and co-anchor Dylan Dreyer, leaving fans to wonder what happened to her. Notably, this occurred while Today has been seeing a few co-hosts come and go in recent weeks.
Dylan Dreyer Was Absent During Today‘s St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
Dreyer is best known for working as a weather correspondent for Today and for being an anchor on Today‘s third hour. Originally from Manalapan Township, New Jersey, she joined NBC News in 2012, having first worked for the former Boston-based NBC station WHDH starting in 2007.
On March 17, Today‘s third hour celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. Notably, viewers tuning in still saw Al Roker and Craig Melvin, as well as Laura Jarrett. However, Dreyer appeared to be missing.

Taking to Instagram, the day prior, Dreyer shared a carousel post showcasing various Parisian sites. This included famous sites like the Louvre Pyramid and the Arc de Triomphe.
Dreyer wrote in the caption, “All work and no play. No, I mean all play and no work. Wait, some play lots of work. Actually, lots of play and work. Either way, I’m in France for work. Really cool story coming soon!!”
It’s been noted that Dreyer tagged Today with the post. This seems to confirm the trip was connected to her work with the network and not her other series, the nature travel show, Earth Odyssey.
As noted by NBC, the Today co-hosts did not share low long Dreyer would be absent from the show. However, it was noted that Jarrett, who usually works as a Saturday Today co-anchor, would be co-hosting all week.
A Few Today Fans Shared Their Reaction To Dreyer’s Paris Trip
When Dreyer was missing form a recent Friday episode, fans were also recently treated a special guest co-host: Craig Melvin’s wife, sportscaster Lindsay Czarniak. As Roker noted in his introduction, “Happy Fri-yay, and welcome to the third hour of Today! Speaking of third, I’m kind of the third wheel here because I’ve got Craig and his better half, Lindsay Czarniak.”
Melvin himself had also been absent from a few recent episodes. At the time, he was said to be sick with the flu.

On Dreyer’s post, many fans shared their reactions to seeing her in the famous “City of Lights.” A few France-based fans even noted they saw her in person. Some comments included:
