Hallmark Hunk Luke Macfarlane and -Olivia Westbrooks star in the new Hallmark+ home renovation series Home Is Where The Heart Is. This is the renovation show with a lot of heart. This new series is premiering soon on the rebranded streaming channel. Here are all the details.
Hallmark+ Is About To Premiere Luke Macfarlane’s Home Is Where The Heart Is
On Thursday, March 20, Hallmark+ will drop the first two episodes of Home Is Where The Heart is. This stars Luke Macfarlane and Olivia Westbrooks. In the first episode of this series, “An empty nester tasks Luke Macfarlane and Olivia Westbrooks to help reimagine her childhood home, built by her late father, to reflect an exciting new chapter of her life, while preserving the loving backdrop of family history.”
This is the essence of what this series is all about. Designer Olivia Westbrooks and talented woodworker Luke Macfarlane work with the owner and family to fix up a room or area of the house that needs to be reimagined. Yet, they do want to preserve the integrity of the family story. The end result is something fresh, and yet still honoring that bit of family history.
Home Is Where The Heart Is ‘Seamlessly Blend The Past And The Present’
The new Hallmark+ series Home Is Where The Heart Is starring Luke Macfarlane and designer Olivia Westbrooks works to bring in the past and the present. According to Variety, the team works to “seamlessly blend the past and the present, creating a beautiful family dream home that feels refreshed and welcoming, but maintains the heart, love, and charm that has been present inside its walls for decades.”
They most of all want to make the house feel glorious again.
Hallmark’s Luke Macfarlane Was Committed To ‘Getting Sweaty’ For Renovation Series
Hallmark Hunk Luke Macfarlane has acknowledged the other remodeling shows. He is not interested in telling people “what’s good and bad.” He is happy to get his hands dirty. “To get really sweaty is not always the cutest thing, but I was committed to that, especially knowing that this was the space that I wanted to sort of introduce myself into.”
The self-proclaimed “builder and maker” is committed to “getting to know somebody” and then remodeling based on who they are, not what the current style dictates. Moreover, this is an “emotionally driven” approach that should distinguish this Hallmark series from the others.
That means every detail including wallpaper, decorations, and furniture is all driven by who the homeowner is. Also, these details include where they are in life now.
In addition, it should be noted that Luke wants people to see how things are built. Furthermore, Luke relishes the opportunity to share his passion for fine woodworking.
