Carsen Webb Stuns Judges With Memorable Audition

This early in the American Idol competition, it’s all about getting through the audition phase, and hopefully, making a good impression on the judges as you proceed to the next round. One of the bonuses of this time in the competition is that it’s a time for these contestants to introduce themselves, and for viewers to get to know their stories.

For Carsen Webb, he made his American Idol audition a memorable one by making it an interactive experience. Before he even sang a note as part of his audition, he had the judges put on pairs of clogs and memorize some steps. He even brought spoons to the audition. Luke Bryan was full of jokes here, as he called them “redneck maracas.”

So, before he even sang a note, he made quite the impression on all of the judges, and gave Luke Bryan plenty of comedic material to work with.

American Idol: Does Singer Make A Big Enough Impression To Stick Around?

While Carsen Webb certainly caused a stir with his clogs and spoons, whether or not he could actually sing was the question on all of the minds of the judges. Based on teasers of his audition making the rounds, Carsen gives them his rendition of “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims.

This is a song that took everyone by storm, and one that countless people cover on platforms like TikTok and more. Unfortunately, based on these teaser clips making the rounds, they cut short after Carsen sings. So, viewers won’t know if he makes it through to the next round or not until after the episode airs.
