‘Deal Or No Deal Island’: Parvati, David Join Another Reality Show
Viewers have watched Parvati Shallow and David Genat join the second season of Deal or No Deal Island. However, fans may also have been introduced to them from other reality series. In fact, fans have developed a theory about Deal or No Deal Island after the two became attached to another reality series.
Fans Have Seen Parvati Shallow & David Genat On A Variety Of Reality Shows
Shallow, in addition to Deal or No Deal Island, is also known for appearing on Survivor and The Traitors. In addition, Genat is also a Survivor alum, appearing on Australian Survivor: All Stars and Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders.
Notably, both Shallow and Genat are reportedly already signed on to appear on other reality shows. In fact, this caused one fan to develop a certain theory about what will happen on the series.
Taking to social media, one fan shared their theory on how other shows might impact Deal or No Deal Island. As they shared, “For those that may not know, this summer there is going to be a shortened season of Survivor called Australian Survivor vs. The World where All-Stars from the AU franchise will take on All-Stars from other worldwide Survivor franchises.”
“David and Parv both are playing on that season. I did some digging and can’t find specific dates for when AU vs. The World was filmed but it definitely seems like DONDI filmed first.”
“With that said- I really don’t think that David or Parv win the season. If either won multimillions a month or two before, I don’t think they’d want to go starve on an island and play Survivor for a smaller prize. It’s not impossible, but I do feel it is improbable.”
“I am also really excited to see if David and Parv pretend not to know each other on Survivor, and if they will get a chance to play together. I’m sure both of them were able to talk about it a ton while filming DONDI and pregame some strategies for if they end up hitting the merge together.”
For his part, Survivor host Jeff Probst talked with Entertainment Weekly about contestants like Shallow appearing on the Australian edition of the show. As he shared, “Some of the people that are on these shows are incredibly compelling.”
Some Fans Think Shallow & Genat Are Driven By More Than Money
“They’re fantastic storytellers. They are fun to watch, and they’re just as entertaining as any scripted show.”
Taking to the comments, other fans thought it was unlikely that this was the case. They thought Shallow and Genat would probably have signed onto the upcoming Survivor season beforehand.
Others shared they haven’t given up hope that Shallow or Genat could win the season. They even mused that the two were more than likely to do another show even after already winning another show. Some comments included:
- “Parvati definitely signed the AU contract before DONDI. David probably did too. And David is definitely winning. Also, it’s a special AU season, only 16 days. Which is probably why they were down to sign onto DONDI when they filmed so close together”
- “They would absolutely still play Survivor even if one of them won.”
- “Something tells me it’s not all about the money for these guys. I don’t think either would miss such an epic season of Survivor for anything.”
- “They probably signed a contract for survivor before going on DONDI. Makes no difference. Whether they won DONDI or not Survivor is still paycheck and exposure.”
