Viewers have been introduced to the Waldrop family thanks to the TLC series, which originally ran from 2018 to 2020. The title comes from Eric and Courtney’s sextuplet children, Blu, Layke, Rawlings, Rayne, Tag, and Rivers.

In addition, the couple also has a pair of twin sons, Bridge and Wales, and their oldest son, Saylor. Courtney notably paid tribute to her nine children on her Instagram page, “gods_divine_nine.”

As noted by In Touch Weekly, Saylor was around eight years old when the show started. While he already had experience as an older brother, he was still excited for the family’s then-recent addition of his sextuplet siblings.

On social media, however, Courtney shared a health update concerning Saylor, which included a photo of him in his baseball uniform. As the post opened up, it was noted, “This boy loves Baseball so much and puts his all into it. But [this] season has been very different.”

As the post continued, “He fractured his spine during basketball season. Took a while for Eric and I to figure out what was going on until he started losing feeling in his legs. Come to find out he has a fracture in his lower spine.”

“It put him out half of basketball season and he will be out all of this school baseball season. He’s in a back brace and doing well. Just a very slow process of healing.”

Courtney noted the family has been counting their blessings, noting the situation could have been worse. As she shared, “We are grateful that back surgery doesn’t seem to be the outcome of this injury for now. He will come out of his back brace in 4 weeks. Total of 3 months he’s been wearing it.”

A Few Fans Also Shared Similar Stories With The Family

That said, it was made clear that Saylor still had a long journey. The post continued, “We thought once out of it he could go back to sports. But Dr. just informed us…absolutely not. It will still be a slow process of building back the strength in his back.”

“And if we don’t make sure of that then [he’ll] be right back in the same situation and possibly worse. He was hopeful to get to at least finish out the season with his team.”

As Courtney summed it up, “Trying to stay positive!! What doesn’t kill ya will only make you stronger!!” She concluded things sending love to her son, “We love you Saylor. Always do what you love and love what you do!!”

Naturally, fans took to the comments to share words of support for Saylor and the family. While sending thoughts and prayers, many also found comfort in learning that he was recovering.

Quite a few also had shared similar experiences. Some comments included:
