Mama Mary Schmucker was a fan favorite on Breaking and Return to Amish. She was a mother figure to all those who needed her and imparted her wise words whenever she could. Ultimately, she exited the hit TLC reality series but fans continued to follow her on social media. In 2022, she was diagnosed with colon cancer and was unsure as to how she would go forward. It looked like things were turning a corner and she would be doing far better.
Sadly, Rebecca shared devastating news regarding Mary that she had been moved to hospice care. Despite this news, it seemed to be more about her comfort and ensuring she was feeling fine amid health struggles. It was soon made clear that Mary was not on death’s door just because she was in hospice care. Now, her death is trending and fans are very confused and concerned. They did not hear anything negative about her or final updates so a Reddit thread was started to discuss what was going on.
