‘WCTH’ Season 12, Episode 9 ‘Buried Treasure’ Sneak Peek Shows Lucas Asking Edie Out
Team Lucas has been waiting for their favorite WCTH heartthrob portrayed by Chris McNally to have a love interest. Last season, Jeanette Aucoin turned out to be a bad actor. Now, there is a newcomer to town, Edie Martell, portrayed by Miranda MacDougall. Throughout the season, Edie and Lucas have been adversaries. However, they have learned things about each other that they like. But, they have not seemed to be doing anything but business.
Therefore, a new Sneak Peek shows that Lucas Bouchard asks Edie out. What exactly transpires? Here are all the details.
When Calls The Heart Season 12, Episode 9 ‘Buried Treasure’ Shows Lucas Asking Edie Out
WCTH fans have waited for two seasons for Lucas Bouchard to have a love interest after Elizabeth dumped him at the train station. Now, according to Swooon, it looks like Chris McNally’s character is finally going to go out o a date. They share an exclusive video of Edie and Lucas running into each other at the saloon. Moreover, Lee is in the background, behind the bar, drying glasses as he watches this juicy encounter.
Edit tells Lucas, “Sounds like Uncle Ernie left me more than just a bankrupt ranch. It seemed like he was mixed up in something, so they advised me to find safe harbor.” Although she doesn’t say who “they” are, it seems that it must be Bill and Nathan, who are going on a stakeout to watch the Garrison Gang.
Lucas responds, “Well, that’s fantastic.” Then, he graciously corrects himself. “Not the troubles, but…” The Governor then asks her out. “Seeing as you’re here, I’m wondering if you might want to join me for dinner, if you’re free. A working dinner.”
They proceed to talk about Minnie’s new menu and all of the delicious-sounding meals that she has on her new menu. They may be talking about food, but it is clear that they enjoy each other’s company and would like to spend more time together.
At the end of the video, Lucas warmly tells her, “Welcome back.”
While this all is disguised as a “working lunch,” it seems that these two workaholics have a good opportunity to get to know each other and find more common ground. Will there be something more? Likely not in this episode as this will be full of danger and the Garrison Gang.

When Does WCTH Season 12, Episode 9 ‘Buried Treasure’ Premiere?
The premiere of WCTH Season 12 Episode 9 “Buried Treasure” premieres on Sunday, March 2, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. This episode will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark+. Lastly, Hearties can stream this episode with Lucas and Edie on a first date on Peacock for up to 72 hours after the premiere.
