‘Unexpected’ Kylen Smith Tear-Filled & Defeated Clip Surfaces

It is never easy to watch TLC’s Unexpected as viewers want the best for these teenage parents. They hope they can succeed and do amazingly well regardless of what they are going through. Some excel and find immense happiness while others are lost puppies. Season 5 introduced viewers to Kylen Smith and Jason Korpi. Right off the bat, he told her what to do and attempted to alienate her from her family. She went to live with him and his parents while she carried out the rest of her pregnancy.
There was a big debate as Kylen had considered getting an epidural for delivery but Jason was vehemently opposed to it. He believed that it would cause their baby to be born stoned and a handful of other things. Viewers begged TLC to get rid of him and quit giving him airtime. He was even thrown out of the delivery room for causing unneeded stress and they were not asked back for Season 6. Though the cast begged Kylen to leave Jason, she went on to have a second child with him. Now, a video has surfaced of her looking sad and defeated.
It was shared in a Reddit thread and it was from 2019. This could have been around the time she met Jason or just before. Either way, Kylen Smith seems distraught and brokenhearted over a boy. She was just a teenager and it is apparent that she feels things very deeply. Moreover, it shows that she thrives in toxic romances and has no idea how to be loved in a healthy manner or see her worth.
Fans Rally For Kylen
After seeing this clip, Unexpected fans were really broken for Kylen Smith. It showed how she had always been vulnerable, even before she met Jason Korpi. They also noted how, despite being sad in the video, she looks so much more drained now than ever:
- She was so pretty before she was with him. Now the poor girl just looks exhausted and defeated.
