‘Queer Eye’s’ Jonathan Van Ness Shared A Transformation Of His Own
Van Ness is a television personality best known for being the grooming expert of Netflix’s Queer Eye. The series, which came out in 2018, is itself a reboot of the 2003 Bravo series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
On social media, Van Ness has showcased a transformation of his own. Notably, the TV personality recent flaunted a new figure on Instagram.

Taking to Instagram Stories, as noted by Us Weekly, Van Ness boasted, “Lost 66 pounds!” In the post, shared on February 23, the reality star showed a side-by-side of his weight loss.
Van Ness previously shared a health update with fans on TikTok last month. He revealed he had been using a GLP-1, medication that is used to treat diabetes and help weight loss. According to Van Ness, he was hoping to fight a binge eating disorder.
As the reality star shared, “Alright, I have a confession to make. Yes, I am on a GLP-1 or a weight-loss medication.”
Van Ness Shared He Had Better Success With A GLP-1 Injection Than With A Pill
“If you have been following me for a long time, you’ll know that I gained and lost weight several times very publicly. And this time in my life, I knew that I needed a little bit of extra help.”
Van Ness revealed he had previously used the medication as a pill, but had no effect. He appeared to have better success with the injectable GLP-1.

The star noted, “With everything I’ve been through publicly and privately in the last couple years, I gained quite a bit of weight, wasn’t feeling good. The most important thing was [that] my binge-eating disorder was out of control.”
Van Ness started the injections in September 2024, noting that he “felt immediately better” after the switch. He added, “I was consistently making decisions that I regretted with compulsive eating and with bingeing that just left me feeling really not good, depressed and out of control.”
“I, for the first time in my life, have had control over my food intake. It has helped me so massively, and that’s part of why I wanna be honest with you about it because I know how important asking for help is, and how much asking for help can change your life in terms of healing. This time, I needed help.”
In addition to his work on Queer Eye, Van Ness is also known for the podcast, Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness, which was later adapted into a television series by Netflix. He’s also appeared on series including I Love the 2000s, Big Mouth, and Nailed It!
