Are ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love’ Fan Favorites, Xander and Yoly Together Now?
From the moment that The Ultimatum: Queer Love started streaming on Netflix, fans of the show started shipping Xander Boger and Yoly Rojas. It only took a few episodes before the two of them broke up with the partners they came with (Vanessa Papa and Mal Wright) and were in a trial marriage. Fans immediately began to root for the two.
Xander Boger and Vanessa Papa were high school best friends who got together later in life when they both came out of the closet. Vanessa is extremely outgoing though and it was apparent early on that Xander was more serious, as they are the ones who put forth the ultimatum to get engaged or break up. Vanessa often said she just wanted to be free.
Yoly Rojas was the one to give Mal Wright the ultimatum to push forward their relationship with an engagement. Mal often said it wasn’t that she didn’t want to marry Yoly but rather, that she wanted to make sure the timing was right. She also had concerns about Yoly’s seriousness because she falls in love so easily and is eager to commit.
Xander and Yoly Heated Up The Ultimatum: Queer Love
After dating several others, Xander and Yoly chose each other for their trial marriage period. In the first few days, there was a lot of talking, deep conversations and staring soulfully into each other’s eyes. Yoly made Xander blush and Xander satisfied Yoly’s desire to be heard.
Xander also satisfied other desires Yoly had. When the lights went out and the only thing viewers could see were shapes under a sheet, there was more than kissing going on in the darkness of their bedroom!
Fans Were Eager for the Final Episode
Before June 7th, fans knew very little about how Xander and Yoly would fare. It seemed like they were destined to be apart and never learn what they could have been because both of them appeared to be giving their previous partners another chance.
Despite how little regard the fans had for Vanessa, Xander gave her another chance in the episodes before the finale of The Ultimatum: Queer Love. Vanessa swore she had learned a great deal while apart from Xander. But before the last moments of decision day, Xander broke up with Vanessa. They said they knew it wouldn’t work with Vanessa, “after Week 1 … before I even started my trial marriage with Yoly.” Fans hoped that Xander would pursue Yoly.
Yoly and Mal left engaged, though. Mal said several times that she loved Yoly and wanted to be with her long-term and she proved how much she had changed by proposing. Even though fans of the show liked Mal, they wanted Yoly to try to be with Xander.
The Ultimatum: Queer Love Finale Gave Hope
In the finale, it was revealed that Yoly and Mal didn’t stay engaged. They broke up two weeks later. Mal told USA Today, “I never wanted her to go on thinking that I didn’t want to marry her.”

Yoly and Xander rekindled their romance at the end of The Ultimatum: Queer Love! But, at the moment, they have said they are just friends. Both of them are dealing with breakups. Yoly said, “I have been on a very necessary timeout from dating.”
Fans hope that Xander and Yoly will end up together soon and be on their way to a great future. Give these two a little time.
