‘Swamp People’ Did Troy Landry Die?

Troy Landry has been part of Swamp People from the very start. However, some reports claimed Landry has passed on. This has left fans wondering just what happened to the famous gator hunter.
Troy Landry Had Been Part Of Swamp People For Years
Swamp People is a History series that has aired since 2010. The series revolves around Louisiana alligator hunters as they try to earn a living.
Troy Landry has been a cast member of the series since the first season. He has remained a fixture on the show. Based in Pierre Part, Louisiana, he is known for working with family and Cheyenne “Pickle” Wheat.
As noted by Distractify, Troy was recently the subject of death rumors. Thanks to this, fans are left wondering what is going on.
The publication noted that the issue could be tied to a recent obituary that claimed a Troy Landry has recently passed on. While the man was from Louisiana, specifically Mamou, there is good reason to believe it isn’t the TV personality.
The Landry that passed on died in 2020. As Distractify noted, Swamp People‘s Troy Landry is still active on the show, starring in the latest sixteenth season.
The Profile Doesn’t Quite Match Up To The Swamp People Star
Troy even recently appeared in a clip on Swamp People‘s Instagram page, where he and “and Pickle take a risk in cat territory!” The deceased also appears to be younger than the show’s Landry.
In addition, the deceased was survived by two daughters, identified as Tristin Cendejas and Tori Landry. Swamp People‘s Troy has three sons, Chase, Jacob, and Brandon.

As previously reported, Swamp People‘s Troy has also been active on social media. Recently, the Swamp People star shared an update on his grandson Crue’s health with fans.
At the time, Landry shared, “Crue was born with a liver disease known as Biliary Atresia. After a failed corrective procedure, his disease has now unfortunately progressed into end stage liver disease which requires a liver transplant before the liver completely fails.”
The family has also been raising money through the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). So far, the family has raised at least $10,000 of a $75,000 goal.
While many Swamp People fans are likely happy that the series star is currently alright, it is important to remember to be respectful of the deceased. The obituary had also painted a loving tribute to the deceased Landry, noting, “He loved watching football and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and frogging.”
