‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Star Suffers Leg Amputation, Shocking Details
The family of a RuPaul’s Drag Race star has shared that they recently underwent a leg amputation. Fans were recently told about the situation in a lengthy post on social media. Many other alumni from RuPaul’s Drag Race and its spin-off shows also shared their condolences in the comments.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race Alum Went From Contestant To Judge
Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race were recently given a shocking health update concerning a contestant from the show. The news was shared by the contestant’s family on social media in a statement shared inside a caption both in text and in an accompanying image.
The contestant had appeared during one of the long-running show’s earlier seasons. Following their run on the show, they also prominently became a judge on an international version of the show.

Bianca Castro, professionally known as Jiggly Caliente, was a contestant on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She ultimately placed eighth after a a lip sync elimination. Following this, she later competed on All Stars 6, ultimately placing 12th.
Castro would later be announced as a judge on Drag Race Philippines. This would make her the third contestant to become a permanent judge on an international version of the show, following Brooke Lynn Hytes and Nicky Doll.

Recently, however, Castro’s family shared devastating news about the reality show judge on social media. As it opened up, “The family of Bianca Castro, known to many as the beloved drag performer Jiggly Caliente, is heartbroken to share that over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback. Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg.”
Many Prominent Drag Race Stars Also Sent Their Love To Castro In The Comments
It was shared that the tragic news would also impact Castro’s judging duties on the show. As the statement continued, “Because of these circumstances, Bianca will not be appearing in the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines. Nor will she be participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future. Her recovery will be extensive.”
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together. While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite her friends, fans, and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels. Bianca’s family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers.”

A few Drag Race alumni, many of whom, like Castro, also appeared on multiple shows, also shared their condolences in the comments. Manila Luzon, who first appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s third season, shared, “Praying for you, sister.” Sasha Velour, who won the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, “Sending you so much love.”
Ginger Minj, who first appeared on the seventh season of Drag Race, also wrote, “Sister, I love you more than words can say. You’re always on my mind and I’m sending you all the good thoughts in the world!”
Actor Daniel Franzese of Mean Girls fame wrote, “Awww we love you so much babe. You need to do exactly what is right for you health and we are all praying and rooting you on.” Franzese notably appeared on RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race‘s second season.
