“I remember when I lost all the money, I was like ‘damn I better start dressing like a millionaire now’, which actually means more jewelry. When you are a billionaire you can dress super bummy.”
Beforehand, however, back in January, West boasted having a ten-figure net worth. Notably this came out after he allegedly lost $2 billion in a day.
As The U.S. Sun reported, following being cut from various brands, like Adidas, West shared a message from Eton Venture Services. As it read, “In 2025, Ye’s net worth stands at $2.77 billion USD as confirmed by Eton Venture Services.”
Sources Close To West Have Also Weighed In On The Story
The statement continued, “The valuation is based on his music portfolio and his sole ownership of the Yeezy mark.” West also wrote, “LAA LA LA LA,” in the caption, to poke fun at his critics.
Speaking with The Sun, a source claimed that West was in good financial standing, but getting dropped did have a great impact on him. As they noted, “Ye has never not been rich, but his net worth did drop dramatically when Adidas decided to pull the plug.”
“He lost a lot in a short amount of time, but he never considered for a second that he wouldn’t get it all back again. That’s just how his mind works.”
As the publication noted, West later admitted to losing his billionaire status following being dropped. However, sources close to him confirmed he hoped to regain his status.
The source claims that West continue to assert that he has regained his billionaire status in the new year. As they shared, “Everyone thinks he’s back because he asserts himself as a billionaire again, without the help of Adidas, Gap, or Sony,”
“[West] told everyone he’s a billionaire again, and even his Insta bio is now 2.77 referring to his net worth. He’s focused on both promoting his brand and getting his album out.”
However, there is some debate over West’s claims. Notably, CEO Today Magazine recently reported his net worth at $400 Million. As the publication noted, “Kanye West’s financial journey has been a rollercoaster.
