Gary’s weight gain began when he was a child. At the age of 10, he was already at 200 pounds. According to the My 600-Lb Life star, his life spiraled out of control due to his food addiction. His unhealthy habits resulted in him dropping out of high school. Dr. Now gave him a strict 1,200-calorie diet and got him a physical therapist.

After 12 months of working with the bariatric surgeon, Gary could bring himself down to 753 lbs. He couldn’t progress much and never met Dr. Now in person. But he assures fans that he’ll continue working hard towards his goals.
