‘My 600-Lb Life’ Patrick Macon Resurfaces In Worrying Photo Amid Cancer Battle

My 600-Lb Life star Patrick Macon had one of the most heartbreaking stories. He appeared on the show at 657 pounds and was already struggling in his daily life. He didn’t have a traumatic childhood, but he couldn’t control himself when it came to food. Fortunately, he found the courage to turn his life around and sought Dr. Now’s help. But aside from his weight, it was later revealed that he was also battling cancer. Keep reading to see how he’s doing today.
My 600-Lb Life: Did Patrick Macon Lose Weight?
Patrick was given a huge task during his episode. Dr. Now wanted him to drop 130 pounds to qualify for bariatric surgery. He had a great start, losing 50 pounds in just a month. Dr. Now was impressed by Patrick’s dedication. However, the My 600-Lb Life star struggled the following month.

He gained 25 pounds, and Dr. Now assumed he was no longer taking his journey seriously. Patrick eventually got back on track and lost 51 lbs. He later got the weight loss surgery and ended his episode at 531 pounds. But it seems his journey hasn’t progressed since the show.
Patrick Resurfaces In Worrying Photo Amid Cancer Battle
Patrick Macon hasn’t been active on social media for quite some time. However, his wife, Amanda, continues to share photos of them online. Patrick was previously diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. Earlier this month, Amanda uploaded a photo with Patrick, who’s looking totally different compared to when he was still on the show.
It seems the My 600-Lb Life star is undergoing chemotherapy. Amanda has also been spreading awareness about gallbladder cancer, and it seems Patrick had to set aside his weight loss journey to focus more on this.
My 600-Lb Life: What Is Patrick Macon’s Condition?
According to studies, gallbladder cancer includes abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite. It can also be treated with surgery or chemotherapy. As for bile duct cancer, it has nearly the same symptoms as gallbladder cancer and its treatments are similar. It’s unclear how Patrick is funding all of his medical expenses. But the My 600-Lb Life star’s FB states that he works at “Psycho Ward,” though he never uploaded photos of himself working in such facilities.
