Nicole Kidman is an actress with a career spanning decades. However, the star has also opened up about an ongoing issue she’s endured: night terrors that keep her up at night. The issue has also gotten the actress to take a look at her life.

After starting her career in Australia, Kidman became internationally known through films like Days of Thunder, Batman Forever, Practical Magic, and Eyes Wide Shut. Since then, she’s appeared in a variety of notably projects, including Moulin Rouge!, Australia, Paddington, Aquaman, and Babygirl.

Kidman has notably earned multiple nominations and wins over the years thanks to her work as an actress. In 2002, she won the 2022 Academy Award for Best Actress for The Hours. To her name, the actress has earned at least 155 wins to her name over the years.

As Radar Online recently reported, the star has opened up about an ongoing issue in her life. Kidman admitted to suffering from night terrors.

The actress admitted that she often finds herself waking up at 3 AM thanks to the issue. It’s believed Kidman has endured these night terrors following the loss of her mother and father.

Kidman’s mother Janelle passed away recently, this past September, at the age of 84. Her father Antony passed on around a decade earlier while in his 70s.

According to the publication, the actress shared, “Mortality. Connection. Life coming and hitting you. And loss of parents and raising children and marriage and all of the things that go into making you a fully sentient human. I’m in all of those places.”

Kidman Also Shared A Story Following Her Father’s Death

“So, life is, whew. It’s definitely a journey. And it hits you as you get older how.

“It’s a wake up at 3 am crying and gasping kind of thing. If you’re in it and not numbing yourself to it. And I’m in it. Fully in it.”

Kidman also touched upon the family she’s started, sharing she wants to be with them as long as possible. As she noted, “When you’re raising children you’re like, ‘I gotta stay here. I wanna see all of this’. It’s devastating and beautiful and extraordinary.”

The star also touched on a time after her father’s death after finding a CD recording of his singing. She noted her mother, at the time, did not want to listen to it.

However, Kidman felt differently. As she noted, “It was like being stabbed in the gut, I left it on.”

As previously reported, there had been some speculation that Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, might have been considering a move back to Australia. At the time, it was noted the two had property in the country.
