‘Pretty Little Liars,’ ‘Y&R’ Alum Talks About ‘Cult’ Of The Hallmark Channel
Tammin Sursok has portrayed Colleen Carlton on Young And The Restless, and Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars. These are intense fan bases, but she claims that Hallmark has the biggest “cult.” However, when Sursok paired up with her former PLL costar Brant Daugherty, for the Countdown To Christmas movie Trivia At St. Nick’s, she learned just how insanely popular the feel-good channel is.

Tammin Sursok On The ‘Cult’ Of Hallmark
Pretty Little Liars alum Tammin Sursok is used to starring in series that have a cult following. Besides PLL, she did star in Young And The Restless as Colleen Carlton in a dramatic storyline that captivated audiences. However, when she recently was on the Aussie podcast Something to Talk About, she talked about the Cult of Hallmark. She had no idea how much traction starring the feel-good network was.
I didn’t know how many people [watch]. My goodness!
However, although she described the audience “like a cult,” she was happy to be in this same group. That is because she knows that the audience watches the network for comfort. She shared explained, “That’s what Hallmark does so well.”
Sursok, who is from South Africa, and now lives in Nashville with her husband and two children, explained, “Hallmark movies are, like, what people live and die by here.”
I didn’t know I was part of the cult until I became a part of it. You know, I think it’s because life can be intense, especially as a parent.
She concluded that people are tired of politics, and the world is a scary place. Therefore, tuning into this channel means “no drama.” Best of all, “No blood, guts, swearing.” She doesn’t have to get “stressed” about her daughters tuning in to the channel. She has piece of mind.
Pretty Little Liars Star Wants To Do More Hallmark
Starring in a Hallmark Christmas movie was exactly what Tammin Sursok needed. She shared that in other roles, “I’m either screaming or crying.” Between PLL and her former soap role, it is understandable that she is ready to do something different.
Now she is “manifesting” doing three more movies for the network. She knows that doing one movie puts her in the pool for more. She can see some of her former PLL costars like Ian Harding, Janel Parrish, and Brant Daugherty have all made multiple movies for the network. Therefore, Tammin should be in another movie, hopefully soon.
