‘DWTS’ Fans Were Not Kind To Carrie Ann Inaba On 57th Birthday
Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba just celebrated her 57th birthday. As seen on social media, she’s been spending quite a bit of time with close friends and family. She likely rang in her birthday feeling incredibly special and loved.
However, DWTS fans weren’t so kind. What was supposed to be a simple birthday shout-out from the main Instagram account quickly drew in ugly comments from viewers.
Read on and see what happened.
Some DWTS Fans Troll Carrie Ann Inaba On Her Birthday
As many DWTS fans know, Carrie Ann Inaba struggles with a myriad of health issues. Her autoimmune conditions in particular often exhaust her, which is why she often limits her time in the public eye during the off-season.
In honor of her 57th birthday, the DWTS Instagram account gave her a special shout-out. Carrie Ann reemerged to thank the show and her fans.
However, it didn’t all go according to plan.
“Happy birthday to the one and only, @carrieanninaba! 🥳🎂” the official DWTS Instagram account posted on January 5.
The top comments featured kind birthday wishes from many of the pro dancers and adoring fans. But as one scrolls down, many harsh words from other DWTS viewers appear.

Some Instagram users left incredibly negative comments, including:
- “Was low-key hoping this was her departure from the show announcement”
- “We need a judge to replace her in just kinda over her and Mark Ballas needs to be a permanent judge”
- “We don’t like her”
- “Maybe for her bday you should get her a breathalyzer”
“🙏🙏🥰🥰Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes! Happy New year everyone! I’m wishing you the best in 2025! 😘😘” Carrie Ann replied to the DWTS account in the comments. She did clap back to some of the nastier comments but seemed to give up and move on after a while.
The Ballroom Judge Wants To Protect Her Peace This Year
In spite of the fan backlash, it seems that Carrie Ann Inaba is determined to focus on herself and her loved ones moving forward. She recently shared an inspirational post on Instagram, determined to focus on what truly mattered in the new year.
“I’m no longer interested in trying to impress people. Or keep up, or chase this social media bulletin train that is as fickle as I was when I was a 7th grader,” Carrie Ann shared in the caption, seemingly fed up with all the negativity on social media. “I’ll post when I want, what I want, and there will probably be no match to the algorithm.”
