The Talk is coming to an end after 15 years on CBS with many fans excited to watch the finale. However, former co-host Sharon Osbourne denied making an appearance during the last episode. Recently, the TV personality’s reasons have come to light.

A Source Explained Why The Talk‘s Co-Hosts Aren’t Returning To Say Goodbye

The CBS talk show recently announced it was coming to an end, with the final episode airing on December 20, 2024. With the finale, Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell and Akbar Gbajabiamila will say farewell to viewers.

With fans expecting the finale to be a big event, there was speculation that the show would ask some former co-hosts to make an appearance. One such figure was Sharon Osbourne, who served as a co-host on The Talk since its beginning in 2010 until her departure in 2021.

In addition to her work on The Talk, Osbourne has made quite a name for herself as a TV personality. She first came to fame on the reality series, The Osbournes, which revolved around her family with singer Ozzy Osbourne. She also featured as a judge on shows like The X Factor and America’s Got Talent.

However, The U.S. Sun recently reported that some of the former hosts declined to make an appearance. As they alleged, many did not want to appear due to one of the current hosts.

According to the publication, a source shared that, “The show asked some of the former hosts to come back for the final season. They all said no because of Sheryl [Underwood]. They didn’t want to sit with her on the panel.”

“I believe Sharon was asked back. There was a conversation, but she would never sit on that panel.”

The insider described Underwood as having a “tricky personality.” As they noted, she “gets along with you, keeps you close, but then will do something vindictive. There have been a few tiffs between some of the hosts and Sheryl.”

“Sheryl gloated about being the top dog. She walked around like that, like ‘I’m number one.’ Everyone tiptoes around her. If she felt she wasn’t equal, she would be very demanding.”

The Source Also Shared What Planning For The Finale Was Really Like

“She would stop talking to people and wouldn’t come out of her dressing room. Production was slowed down because of it.”

The source also denied that the series had really planned anything big for the final episode, despite speculation. As they noted, “Nothing too exciting [was] planned.”
