This week on The View, Joy Behar discussed a fun experience she shared with Sunny Hostin. However, as she described how great this was, she also had to shut Sunny down. Here is what Joy and Sunny did, and why Behar had to step in.

The View: Joy Behar And Sunny Hostin Get Into It

Joy Behar described a recent trip she and Sunny Hostin made to Broadway to see Whoopi Goldberg perform in Annie. All the ladies on The View couldn’t stop raving about it. Sunny and Joy said they took the time to watch Whoopi, who plays the villainous Miss Hannigan.

Joy raved about her time at the show and bragged about how great Whoopi was in the role. Sunny agreed and said it was amazing, and they had a great time. “She was great; she sings, she dances, and she is wonderful,” Joy said. She then joked that this was the first time in 17 years of working together that she saw Whoopi’s legs.

That is when Joy pointed over at Sunny and spilled some tea on her co-host. “This one had a glass of wine during the show,” Joy said. She then said that Sunny was drinking and that she kept talking to her during the show. She said Sunny kept saying, “She’s got a gift, she’s got a gift.” Joy said she kept repeating it so much that she finally had to tell her to “shut up.”

Sunny agreed. “She did tell me to shut up,” she said.

How Long Will Whoopi Goldberg Be On Broadway?

Fans won’t have long to see Whoopi Goldberg in Annie. She is performing the role of Miss Hannigan at the Madison Square Garden shows, but only until the start of January 2025.

Whoopi will only be in the musical during its shows from December 11 to January 5. The other shows will have a different actress playing the villain role of Miss Hannigan. While it is a limited run for the actress, she seems very excited about the return to Broadway.

“It’s been interesting,” she said. “I’m just trying to not emulate what everyone else has done and trying to find my place in all of it.” It shouldn’t be hard. Whoopi is only one of 21 EGOT winners, meaning she won an Emmy (TV), Grammy (album), Oscar (movie), and Tony (stage play).
