‘The View’ Joy Behar Hurts Whoopi Goldberg’s Feelings
As controversial as The View anchors are, and as much as they get called out for attacking other people on their show, every once in a while there is a moment of friendly fire between the opinionated hosts. When that happens, feelings can get hurt. There was even one instance where Joy Behar hurt Whoopi Goldberg’s feelings with her comments. So, what happened with this situation?
The View: Joy Behar And Whoopi Goldberg Known For Controversial Opinions
As anyone who watches The View knows, hosts like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg keep people tuning in with their controversial opinions. The program is undoubtedly left-leaning. However, even people from the other side of the aisle still tune in to see the latest controversy.
Often, the women gang up on guests who share a distinctly opposing ideology. While this is welcome for those who already agree with them, it can get rather contentious from the other side, and this is often where the barbs come out. Every once in a while, however, some of that vitriol occasionally hits one of the ladies on the panel.
Joy Behar Gets Real About Workplace Friendships
Joy Behar reflected on when she was fired from the program previously. Talking about that time in her life, she said that she was “happy” that she was fired from the show because by then, all of her friends had left.
Behar said: “I always have friends where I work, and if I don’t have friends at the job, I will not keep the job. So, when I was fired last time from this show, people say to me, ‘Were you OK with that?’ And my answer is, I was happy, because all my friends had left already. So, there was no reason to stay anymore. I mean it.”
The View: Whoopi Goldberg Hurt By Joy’s Confession?
Following Joy Behar’s confession about workplace friendships, Whoopi Goldberg quivered her lip from across the table. She played it up as though Behar’s words cut her like knives.
In response to this candid answer from Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg said: “Really? All your friends left? It’s OK. I’m cool.”
Of course, this is exactly the kind of drama and shenanigans that keep viewers coming back for The View. As imposing as both Behar and Goldberg can be, it’s no surprise at all that every once in a while, the claws come out amongst themselves.
In this situation, at least, it was a funny moment that the audience got a laugh out of. Also, something that viewers certainly appreciated.
