Fans are about to say goodbye to Blue Bloods. The popular police procedural is ending despite being one of the most-watched shows on television. However, for two people, the show may be ending, but their partnership is just starting. Donnie Wahlberg has revealed that two actors got engaged after meeting on the show.

Here is who is getting married and what Donnie had to say about it.

Two Blue Bloods Actors Tying The Knot

Donnie Wahlberg has been outspoken about Blue Bloods ending its run. He knows that the show is still one of the most watched on television and Friday night’s top show. However, CBS wanted to freshen up the schedule and chose to end the show while it was still on top.

On a special called Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy, Donnie talked bout something special that happened while shooting the show. The special, which aired on November 29, had Donnie reveal that two people met in the background filming.

“We have a couple that met in the background filming, and now they’re engaged and they’re going to get married,” Donnie said. “That’s how many amazing relationships have been formed in all of the years in the squad room.”

The camera showed two actors dressed in police uniforms and standing in the squad room. They smiled and cheered when Donnie mentioned that they were getting married. He then said that brought an even more personal message to his own life.

Donnie Wahlberg Met Jenny McCarthy While Promoting Blue Bloods

Donnie Wahlberg went on to say that he met his wife, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, while promoting Blue Bloods. They have been married for 10 years.

“I mean, I met my wife doing a talk show promoting Blue Bloods,” Donnie said. “We started dating while I was doing Blue Bloods. So much life has been lived. You get me mushy. You’re trying to get me emotional.” The couple celebrated their 10-year anniversary in August and renewed their wedding vows.

On top of the good memories, Tom Selleck, who led the show throughout its run, said that he had to stop in to ensure the show remained focused on the reasons he came onto the series in the first place. He was right too, as his ideas remained ingrained for the entire run.

“I called some people at the network. I called my agent and said, ‘This isn’t going to work.’ We were on episode 2, and I said, ‘Look, I don’t think I belong on this show if that’s what they’re going to do,’” he said. “But that was done in not in a threatening way but in a business-like way and it worked out pretty good.”

  1. I totally hate that Blue Bloods has been canceled by CBS! I feel as if I’m loosing my family members on Friday nights 10-11P.M. Best show on TV and someone comes along and shuts it down. Wish I could let loose loose with exactly what I want to say about this cancelation. I love the show, the cast, the behind the scenes people who work so hard to put together this A #1 quality show.
I get angry and very sad everytime I think of some person/people coming along and deliberately ending a show that millions of people don’t want ended! CBS WILL NEVER PUT ANY OTHER SHOW IN THAT, TIMESLOT ON THAT NIGHT, THAT I WILL EVER WATCH! FACT! If it ain’t broken don’t fix it! Blue Bloods is the best show on TV on any channel! WAKE UP CBS!!!!!!!😡

    1. Totally agree it’s a great show and was very well done. Of course they are going to cancel it, it’s a very well done nice show and they want to cancel a good show and put on junk instead. I guess I’ll have to find another station ro watch. CBS your crazy for taking this great show off!!!!!!!!

  2. Im deeply disappointed that one of the few quality shows on TV is getting pulled – makes no sense! Great scripts, remarkable actors, life lessons to be learned so WHY pull a show of such astoundingly great quality.

Thanks to all whom have made Blue Bloods a show that I’ve looked forward to weekly ~ I’ll deeply miss you all.💔

  3. I am a huge fan and really disappointed that Blue Bloods has been cancelled. I wish another network or Amazon Prime would pick it up. It’s a great show, C’mon someone step up!!

  4. my wife and I watch this show faithfully and we were genuinely upset about the cancelation, the only reason I was able to come up with for the cancelation is the fact that CBS is a liberal based network and obviously they do not care what the viewers want , as other people have mentioned I hope that another network will be willing to pick up the show and carry on with it.

  5. The best show on CBS. I don’t understand why they canceled this show. Let’s hope a spin off is on the near future
