Diddy Breaks Silence About Hanging Woman Off 17th Story Balcony
Amid music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles, he was recently accused in a lawsuit allegedly claim he dangled a woman above a 17th story drop. Since this has come out, Combs himself has recently spoken out about these allegations. The statement notably follows up on a statement made earlier by Combs’ legal team.
The Incident Allegedly Took Place After A ‘Freak Out’ Party
According to the $10 million suit, a fashion designer, Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, has accused the mogul of charges including sexual battery and false imprisonment. Bongolan alleges the incident took place on September 26, 2016.
Bongolan claims she met Diddy through his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura. She alleges that Diddy had dangled her over Ventura’s own Los Angeles apartment balcony.
Allegedly, the incident took place following one of Diddy’s infamous “freak off party.” However, Bongolan denied being involved with the “freak off” event before the incident took place.
However, Diddy himself has released a statement addressing the allegations through his legal team. In a statement with The Mirror US, “As we have shared previously, anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have.”
An Earlier Lawsuit May Have Mentioned The Incident
“Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims. Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”
Combs’ attorney believes things will work out in the mogul’s favor. As the statement continued, “He has unwavering faith in the facts and in the fairness of the judicial process. In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Mr. Combs are without merit.”
Notably, a legal representative previously discussed the allegations in a statement with Rolling Stone. At the time, the statement read, “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have.” It was continued that, “Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”
Bongolan’s suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court back in November. As her suit read, “The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to actually kill them or to intentionally terrorize them and rob them of any concept of dominion over their own bodily autonomy and safety. It should be no surprise that is exactly what happened to Ms. Bongolan.”
As noted by The Mirror US, the alleged incident may have been mentioned in a lawsuit last year brought by Ventura herself. At the time, it alleged that Combs lifted an unidentified woman over a balcony “like a child.”
