Al Roker Called Out By Fans During Thanksgiving Day Parade
Al Roker, along with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb co-hosted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 28, 2024. The NBC legend seemed to experience some difficulty with his hosting responsibilities during the parade as he made multiple errors that left him wondering what was happening. During portions of the live broadcast, Roker sat next to his co-hosts Savannah and Hoda. Fans noticed something unusual about these shots that left them with questions.
Fans call Al Roker Names After Parade Hosting
This year Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade left fans with some questions. One of them was what in the world was going on with Al Roker? Al was next to Guthrie and Kotb while celebrating Thursday’s festivities. The trio commented on floats and balloons as they passed them. Something stood out to fans that left them to Poke fun at Roker.
Fans were curious if Al Roker was sitting in a smaller chair than his co-hosts as he appeared to be much shorter than the ladies. He is the shortest of the bunch at only 5’8″ however not by much. Hoda Kotb is 5′ 9″ and Savannah Guthrie is 5′ 10″. Fans instantly took to social media to troll Al for his short stature. They wrote:

Experienced Parade Host Struggles Through Presentations
Al Roker wasn’t just under fire from fans for his height. He also faced a plethora of mistakes. Fans weren’t all negative though. Some called him a “National treasure.” He is a veteran weatherman and has been hosting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1995. However, during this year’s presentation, Al experienced difficulties using his microphone.
Al Roker was also called out by actress Indina Menzel when he inadvertently gave spoilers for the newly released film Wicked which stars starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. While interviewing Menzel Roker accidentally revealed she was featured in a cameo during the new movie. Indina scolded him “You’re not supposed to tell anyone about the cameo!” Menzel continued to tease him “Cat’s out of the bag.” Al defended himself saying “Everyone’s been sharing everything online.” He may have made a few mistakes but overall fans were excited to see him again this year for the annual parade.

commentators seem useless. we want to see the parade, not them. if they want to chatter fine just keep the camera on the parade
that is what we want to see.
I am not a fan of Al Roker. He is not a National Treasure. He is a popular weatherman for some reason. These shows should not be about the hosts. Don’t get the reverence afforded to him by so many. Just my opinion.
Al Roker is an American icon. People are so mean just to tear every single thing or person apart. Stop the mean & evil we have become. Gee, everyone makes mistakes. Let’s give everyone a break. You were there to watch the Macy’s Parade & I’m glad you enjoyed it.
We can go through life enjoying it & not destroying anyone.
